Kawakawa - linen shroud

Pure linen funeral shroud dyed in shades of earthy grey/green using kawakawa, silver fern, passionfruit and rose geranium in a block of colour with muted shades to the edges. Once folded around the person, the darker print will be more promient than the outer edges. 
For this dyeing process, botanicals are wrapped up with the fabric and, using a completely eco friendly process, colours and prints from the leaves are infused permanently into the fibres.
 
The simple pine shrouding board is sold seperately.
 
The set includes 3 cotton ribbons and comes in a lined cotton drawstring bag.
 
Size: 280cm long x 250cm wide. Suitable for an adult up to 185 cm (6ft) but can easily accomodate taller than 185cm if the person is placed diagonally on the fabric.
 
100% compostable fabrics, cotton threads, natural plant dyes. This shroud is made from passed-down linen, a sustainable use of pre-existing fabric.
